MEDIA RELEASE FROM JET SKI TOURS QUEENSTOWN

February 5, 2018. For immediate release

Hydro Attack strikes again with the first jet ski tours in Queenstown Bay

Iconic adventure tourism company Hydro Attack has launched another innovative experience, with the first jet ski tours in Queenstown Bay.

Unlike their famous shark-themed Seabreachers, Jet Ski Tours Queenstown let customers take the reins and explore Lake Wakatipu from the best vantage point –  their own Seadoo jet ski.

One-hour tours operate in small groups of up to five jet skis, with an experienced guide at the helm to offer advice and insights about the area. Florida-born jet ski guide Marina Townsend is excited about the new venture: “It’s such a cool way to experience Queenstown at speed. There are so many hidden bays and stunning sights you just wouldn’t be able to see without a jet ski.”

Jet skis can be booked for one ($179) or two people ($219), making it an affordable and fun activity for families and groups.

First-time jet ski drivers are also welcome, with no experience or licence required. Long-time Hydro Attack pilot and jet ski guide Chris West says: “We give customers all the instruction and training they need to feel comfortable. Their safety is our number one priority, followed very closely by an insanely good time.”

Jet Ski Tours Queenstown comes after four successful years of Hydro Attack offering customers a unique, safe and exhilarating way to experience Queenstown. Since they began operations as the world’s first commercial Seabreacher tour operator, Hydro Attack has become the industry leader in a growing tourism industry and often shares their expertise to help others set up safe and sustainable Seabreacher businesses around the world.

One of two local owners, David Lynott, says it was a natural next step. “We saw a gap in the Queenstown tourism market. With our unique skill set and what we’ve learnt from the Seabreachers, we wanted to give visitors a chance to ride at the helm and give groups a way to explore Lake Wakatipu together.”

Jet Ski Tours Queenstown can be booked online at https://jetskitoursqueenstown.com

or from the Hydro Attack Kiosk, Earnslaw Park, Queenstown Lakefront.
